Description
🩸 Sucrosomial iron in capsules — the form for those who cannot tolerate ordinary iron. Composition per capsule:
▪︎ Sucrosomial iron (Ferro Sucrosomiale®) 30 mg
▪︎ Vitamin C 70 mg
🔬 How it works: iron is enclosed in a phospholipid and sucrester matrix, so it is absorbed by an alternative route and barely contacts the gastric mucosa. ✔️ No heartburn, metallic taste or dark tongue coating ✔️ Can be taken with food ✔️ Does not stain teeth 📋 Studied in patients who do not tolerate ferrous sulfate — in coeliac disease and in chemotherapy-related anaemia.
🕒 How to take: 1 capsule a day, morning; on an alternate-day schedule absorption is higher than daily (see the article «Ferritin and hair loss»).
⚠️ A supplement, not a medicine. Iron is taken only with a documented deficiency — ferritin and CRP first, and in adults the cause of the deficiency has to be found.
